  • systemic fluoride (fluorinated drinking water, prescription drops/pills) is beneficial to teeth which are forming because it is ingested
  • topical fluoride (over-the-counter mouth washes, in office fluoride gel/foam/rinse/varnish) is beneficial for mature or erupted teeth in protecting against decay through remineralization but this is not ingested

  • sealants are a preventative coating that help fill in the voids of natural pits/grooves/fissures in teeth. 
  • our office usually recommends sealing 1st and 2nd molars to help adolescent patients avoid decay during their most vulnerable ages

  • many factors are taken into consideration when evaluating whether or not a patient is a candidate for veneer treatment so a consultation is required

 -sometimes referred to as a "cap" crowns are often the treatment of choice when a tooth has an extensive fracture, excessive wear, and even from a preventive standpoint to avoid fractures due to large fillings


-contrary to popular belief, a crown is not a "fake tooth." The natural root is still present but the crown portion is prepped to allow the fabricated crown to fit on top of the prepped surface.

  • a bridge is used to replace a missing tooth or several teeth


  • it is composed of several crowns, some being abutment or "anchor" teeth and other being pontic or the "bridge" portion

Partial, Full, and Implant Retained Dentures

  • whether a patient requires one tooth or a full replacement of the dentition, a denture can be made to improve appearance of missing teeth or serve as a space maintainer if other treatment options (implants/bridges) are not possible at that time.
